What I did was just read the comic just like that when the site was still up (but now the collection is better). I heard the voiced dub on youtube is good but apparently they didn't really go through with the entire comic.
I used to know someone who somehow managed to read the entire thing in a week but I would not suggest doing that

To be honest It doesn't take months. It took me only 2 weeks because hyperfixation is one hell of a drug

I would recommend Homestuck the Musical on YouTube. It's a couple hours long. It definitely changes some things about the lore, and only goes up to a certain point in the story. It's pretty enjoyable though, and it is a fairly good adaptation of the characters. It goes about up to early act 6. It's a pretty enjoyable adaptation and might be a faster way to familiarize yourself with some of the story. The main con is that it changes some parts of the story or omits parts to be like... a comprehensive stage adaptation, you know? It is also arguably incomplete, and you'd probably have to pair it with dubs or a summary for the rest of act 6 and beyond. At the point, I would opt to just listen to dubs the full way through because it would probably be less confusing. IIRC GuiltyFlygon finished a read-through on YouTube. It wasn't fully dubbed but it was approximately audio-book quality with some commentary. That is my first recommendation for a full reading!
